AFG understand the difficult conditions facing many growers in producing countries and recognise that Fairtrade is one way, amongst others, of benefiting them.

The Fairtrade concept is all about ensuring that workers and farming communities receive in some of the poorest parts of the world receive a fair price for their produce and enjoy decent working and living conditions.

Organic

AFG aims to source organic alternatives wherever possible to meet customer demand. All suppliers must ensure and demonstrate (by third party verification, certificates and use of logos) that all organic produce complies with the production, quality and traceability standards in the local marketplace.

GlobalG.A.P.

AFG can supply GG certified produce from a wide range of origins. Giving customers and consumers the peace of mind assured by this scheme.

The goal of this certification is to create a universal standard to achieve safe production methods, using responsibly natural resources and securing welfare of workers and animals. Rainforest Alliance

As the demand for Rainforest Alliance certification continues to rise, AFG is behind the drive to increase the certifications across our supply chain and currently already enjoys partnerships with reliable RFA certified producers.

In order to become certified, farms must meet criteria set by the Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN. The SAN standard involves all three pillars of sustainability: social, economic, and environmental.

Rainforest Alliance Certified farms are audited regularly to verify that farmers are complying with the SAN standard’s comprehensive guidelines. For more information please visit www.rainforest-alliance.org
